• He also won 7 District Championships:  1966,70,76,78,81,82,83.

• He played in the U.S. Nationals in 1988 and finished 14th out of 125 players.

Lloyd "Buck" E. Mills,  38-time winner of the Nebraska State Checker Tournament died Sunday, August 6, 1989 at age 70.
